I am proud to call the Sultanate of Oman - 'my second home'. Omanis have been welcoming visitors to their pristine sandy shores from 5,000 years. Unlike its glitzy neighbours, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, in Oman, you will not see a skyscaper or hi-rise in sight. It is an authentic Arabian experience.
Omanis are some of the most genuine welcoming people on the planet. It is part of their DNA. Omanis are extremely proud of their heritage and culture and a 'must see' is the annual Muscat Festival. It is a showcase of traditional bedouin handicrafts, cultural displays, traditional performances and sampling of local foods. Seriously, it is an absolute paradise for photography 'nuts' like me!
